If you use the internet, you must have heard of Pinterest by now. Think of the bulletin board you keep in your office. You might add recipes or pictures of friends or quotes you like, ideas, or other things that make you smile. Now digitize it. That’s Pinterest. The success of Pinterest is highly due to its visual appeal. Each user profile is filled with easy to view images and photos. The site is easy to search and scroll through. It is incredibly simple to find just about anything you want, or even things, you didn’t know you wanted. Clothing, recipes, quotes, crafts, anything you could possibly imagine right at your fingertips in vibrant and eye catching photos.

Now, Pinterest doesn’t just makes for hours of mindless entertainment and searching for cool things, it’s also a great marketing tool. Use it to promote your work, your portfolio, your inspirations, or just things you think are cool. You never know who might repin and spread the word about you and your brand!

Since Google+ hit the scene there is is one feature that has really taken off: Hangouts. Hangouts is not just an ordinary video chatting service. Unlike most similar services, ie. Skype, Oovoo or Facebook video chat, Hangouts lets you chat with up to 10 people at once. The best part? It’s totally FREE!

Sure, Hangouts is great for keeping in touch with friends and family, but did you know it could help your business too? Here’s a couple ideas on how to use Hangouts to make your business THAT much cooler.

1) Get customer feedback

Launching a new product? Get feedback before the big release. See what your customers think before you release it to the public. Or simply get feedback on your current products and services. Ask a few fans to join you and tell you what they think. They will appreciate the enhanced interaction.

2) Do a demonstration

Give your customers a behind the scenes look at what you do. Show them your design process, show them how you fix your cars or build your bikes. Everyone likes to be let in on a few secrets. Let your customers get to know you better

3) Customer Service

Hangout online for a while. Let your fans know you’re available for questions and see what happens. You might meet some interesting people!

4) Have team meetings. Meet with your clients, your coworkers, your developers. Sure you can do this on Skype, but remember, Google Hangouts is totally free.
